LCY Development Sdn. Bhd. was founded in Brunei by Francis Lau Choo Yew in 1997, with a small team of five employees. The Company has since expanded rapidly to become an active and reputable contractor specializing in building and civil engineering projects.
With the success of LCY Development, Francis Lau established the LCY Group of Companies in Malaysia, Singapore and Australia in 2002. He is also the co-founder of other multiple companies in Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia.
Over 100 projects have been completed since the corporation of LCY Development, the LCY Group of Companies and other multiple companies in Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia, specializing in building and civil engineering projects, housing and apartment development and commercial projects such as shop houses and hotel plazas.
The incorporation of LCY and its group of companies has created over 1,000 jobs locally and overseas. The contribution of LCY and Francis Lau has been recognized through multiple awards in Malaysia, Singapore and Europe. LCY is now expanding into other ASEAN/Asia Pacific countries and will diversify into other sectors or industries such as retailing, logistics and hospitality.
