In 2011, SB Bio Tape emerged
as an innovative solution
geared towards fostering a
more sustainable world. This
groundbreaking product
represents a pivotal component
of SB Group's latest initiative,
Tapevolution, which embodies
the company's commitment to
sustainable development goals.
Tapevolution aims to revamp
SB Group's existing product
lines, emphasizing the utilization
of recycled or biodegradable
materials while optimizing
manufacturing processes to
reduce environmental impact.
The production process of SB
Bio Tape involves a series of
environmentally conscious
steps such as “Mixing and
Extrusion” where polypropylene
resins are blended with
biodegradable additives to
form a homogeneous mixture;
this blend is then melted and
stretched before being extruded
onto thin biodegradable films.
Another facet is the company’s
“Application of Environmentally
Friendly Adhesives” wherein
eco-friendly adhesives are
applied to the biodegradable
film, adhering to Rohs and
Reach standards for safety
and environmental compliance;
at this point, the wet adhesive
undergoes a drying process in
an oven to form a large jumbo
roll. Concurrently, SB Group
takes into account Tapevolution’s
“Conversion and Packaging” as
the jumbo roll is converted into
smaller rolls equipped with 100%
recycled paper cores; these rolls
are then packed into carton boxes
and prepared for delivery.
