Siddhalepa Liv-Pro is an Ayurvedic food supplement
with herbs. By taking a step ahead, this capsule was
developed in a convenient format that appealed to
modern consumers’ treatment methods.
Liver diseases are one of the major causes of
death and there is no known medication currently
according to NHS, UK. One of its ingredients,
Heen Bovitiya (Osbeckia octandra) is traditionally
known to support healthy liver function and toxic
elimination. It also contains Aloe Vera and this
combination was found to have the strongest
bioactivity containing the highest percentage of
Gallic Acid, a major compound responsible for
hepatoprotective activity.
Siddhalepa Liv-Pro was launched after
conducting research trials at the Siddhalepa
Ayurveda Hospital with patients. The findings
were presented at the Asian Symposium on
Medical Plants, Spices, and Other Natural
Products (ASOMPS) XVII in December 2018.
This helps to restore the functionality of the
liver by promoting hepatocellular regeneration.
High antioxidant properties of the ingredients
assist in fighting free radical damage and this
is designed to lower the individual's SGOT/
SGPT levels. A second monocentric randomized
double-blind two-arm parallel group intervention
was performed and the findings will be published
soon.
