In supply chain, wood pallets have been largely used for efficient handling of manufacturers goods during loading and unloading, transportation, transits, shipping and storages by means of hand jacks, forklift, crane which lowers manpower handling and storage efficiencies.
Wood pallets are susceptible to pest infestation and required to be heat-treated accordance to International Standard Phytosanitary Measure (ISPM 15) “Regulation of Wood Packaging Material in International Trade” with over 120 participating countries.
At LHT we produced “Innovative Processed Product Conversion (IPPC) Pallets which are wholly made of processed wood, with technically consideration and had undergone high heat (100 to 180 degrees Celsius) by killing the pest in the process. The IPPC pallets will not attract secondary pests as it’s pest-free due to its wood-based properties and low moisture contents, and exemption under clause 2.1 of ISPM 15. Unlike the natural wood pallets heat-treatment process which scientifically kills the primary pests inside the wood but does not consider secondary pests infestation over a period of time.
