Back to Innovators

All we start with is sand. Everything else is value added by our people

– Andy Bryant, Chairman of Intel Board of Directors

Ideas2Reality or I2R is a China-wide innovation program at Intel China that enables and empowers Intel employees to turn their ideas into reality, helping launch the final products to market. Every Intel employee is encouraged to submit his/her ideas to I2R to take the selection process, which includes ideas scouting, Pitch Boot Camp, BU endorsements and then evaluation on the final Selection Day. Once accepted by the I2R program, the ideas will then be involved into the product incubation and acceleration where Intel offers comprehensive trainings on technology, capital, business development and marketing support to turn prototypes into viable business propositions. I2R is committed to creating an environment fostering Intrapreneurship, which encourages risk taking, promotes a culture of innovation, and eventually makes Intel China an inclusive great place to work.

I2R aims to create and foster an intrapreneurial atmosphere within Intel, turning Intel into China’s most creative company, and attracting the best talents around the world. Intel believes that every employee has the potential to be the next successful intrapreneur. I2R launched StartupX (an innovation hub) and settled it in XNode (a startup accelerator in Shanghai). StartupX aims to take Intel’s innovators out of the corporate nest and give them a unique perspective to learn the insights of entrepreneurship, guiding them to think and act like startup founders, and helping them close their first sale faster.
